Application of a mesoporous nanomaterial based on basic ionic liquid anchored to silica as a highly effective catalyst for the production of 2-amino-4H-chromenes

This research describes application of a mesoporous nanostructured material based on basic ionic liquid anchored to silica, i.e. nano-2-(dimethylamino)-N-(silica-n-propyl)-N,N-dimethylethanaminium chloride {nano-[DMSPDE][Cl]}, as a highly effective and heterogeneous nanocatalyst for the production of 2-amino-4H-chromenes. The one-pot multi-component ...

Synthesis of chemisorbed imidazolium and phosphonium cations by reaction of ionic liquid precursors with silica.

The reaction of four different basic ionic liquid precursors with Aerosil 300 is presented. Chemisorbed imidazolium and phosphonium cations, with silanolate anions as part of the silicatic support, were obtained and investigated with various solid state NMR techniques.

Facile synthesis and application of poly(ionic liquid)-bonded silica hybrid materials.

Facile methods were developed to prepare hybrid poly(ionic liquid)-bonded silica for a wide range of applications, particularly in analytical chemistry. The hybrid material obtained was evaluated by comparing its adsorption capacity with other conventional separation materials. In addition, the hybrid material has the potential for industrial scale production.

Preparation and application of ionic liquid-coated fused-silica capillary fibers for solid-phase microextraction.

A simple and cost effective solid-phase microextraction device has been developed. Fused-silica capillaries were etched with ammonium hydrogen difluoride prior to coating with an ionic liquid. For comparison, both a bare fused-silica capillary and one pretreated with a Nafion membrane were coated with the ionic liquid. All three coated capillaries were employed for the head space microextractio...
